Carr on Wolff

In the Sunday Book Review David Carr does a feature review of Michael Wolff’s biography of Rupert Murdoch, The Man Who Owns The News. Carr mostly trashes the book, pointing out that Wolff is sloppy, was never a great journalist, and that despite hours of interviews with Rupert Murdoch there are relatively few quotes. Further, Wolff leads us toward conclusions about Murdoch’s character only to veer off and disavow his own theories. There are moments that sing, however, usually because Wolff is as vicious as Murdoch, unafraid to go places other journalists would think off limits.
