Good Jobbb’s Parrot

Good Jobbb (AKA anonymous magazine editor guy) has a double meta review/appreciation of Flaubert’s Parrot by Julian Barnes and Magnus Mill’s The Restraint of Beasts that includes a meditation on the random scraps of paper one sometimes finds in old books and a clear-eyed appraisal of the lost weekend spent hungover/reading/naked. On a side note, he names the blog post after Paul Collins’ blog, Weekend Stubble. Collins is the ultimate chronicler of forgotten books and editor of McSweeney’s Collins Library, elevating this blog post to triple meta status.
