The title of this list is kind of misleading. It’s a list of books about things that changed the world, or at least a list of books with “that changed the world” in their title. It’s not a list of books that actually changed the world (whether or not their title says so…).

(aside: I read and loved Kurlansky’s Cod before I knew that so many other things had also changed the world. Seriously can’t get enough of Kurlansky.)
