Freedom is an application that will disable your browsers for up to 8 hours at a time. This can be particularly helpful to writers who, more than most other groups, suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. Michelle Orange writes, “My writer friend was raving about it. I mean, I know people who hide their modems in their kid’s schoolbags or make their boyfriends take it to work all day.”
