I had to explain what shibari was about to dozens of people, many of which became real-life friends afterwards. Some were, predictably enough, scared off - but it's fun. "What's shibari?" "It's a game with ropes." "Oh yeah? What do you do with them?" "You tie people up." "What for?" "To turn them on." "..." Three strikes indeed. Mistress Matisse is one of my idols. Therefore, this interview made me tear up with joy; I'll go place an order and call my lover. First time I looked at therumpus.net, I must spread the word! Keep up the good work.
