I loved getting your perspective on the book about your dad. I’m writing a companion piece to my “Dear Medora, Child of Oysterville’s Forgotten Years” which is also about our family members, and many of the issues you brought up are points I’m struggling with. Do you ever get back here to the West Coast? You have a standing invitation to come visiting in Oysterville. I would love talking with you about your grandfather (my uncle) Willard, among other things.

You expressed so well your complex emotions upon reading this book. Not an easy task, but done with the pluck, honesty, and optimism of a Plimpton scribe.
