3255067026_9148b49c7aFifteen years ago Sheila Schwartz wrote her first novel. In November 2008, four months before its release, she succumbed to ovarian cancer. Her husband, Dan Chaon, wrote a beautiful essay about Sheila Schwartz’ first novel, Lies Will Take You Somewhere. We published it here, on The Rumpus, before we were getting the kind of traffic we get today. Sheila’s novel has just been published. If you’re new to The Rumpus I want to point you to this moving essay about love and writing. It’s among the essays I’m most proud of on this site.
