Church Sign War

Stephen Elliott bio ↓  ·  May 7th, 2009  ·  filed under politics

This is probably fake. A church sign war happening in the south between a Presbyterian church and Catholic church. Still, we don’t know for certain it’s fake and I think this falls under the rubric of the great memoir, which is to say, a great memoir should read as well as a novel. And while these signs were probably created using a church sign generator they could be real. They’re “real-ish.” (OK, not really, but why not enjoy life a little bit?)

It’s truthy, and sometimes that’s enough.

Same two cars in background of the Catholic church. Red SUV and white car. They snapped one photo, then photoshop’d the phrases onto the sign. Not real, technically, but funny because of the element of plausibility.

  3. Dena Rosko Says:

Alternately, given the glare on the glass/letters, they photographed the sign on the same day, and manually changed the phrases.

  4. Diogenes Says:

Yes, definitely fake, as the shadows of the oak tree are in the exact same position. Try pressing pg up and pg down and you’ll notice it’s the exact same picture.
