I just finished Bleak House (less than an hour ago), and upon experiencing the loss of my great 1000-page friend of the last 5 weeks or so (a loss made especially poignant by Esther actually addressing the reader as her friend in the final chapter and saying her goodbyes to us), I came looking for a little consolation. Because I too picked up Bleak House so as not to have its plot spoiled by Harold Bloom's chapter, I soon stumbled upon your article, and simply wanted to let you know that I read it and enjoyed it. All the best to you.
