It is within these small tidbits and details that we get a different glimpse of the legend of Dillinger his Nuances and his fateful tale which reeks of a backstabbers death ! I myself liked Dillingers cockiness and adversarial demeanour despite the odds he faced yet i enjoyed even more his coolness under fire which made him an outlaw that lacked the basic instinct of fear instead running on pure survival a difference that is spotted only in certain personalities seen under fire and a rare difference at that ... I have to finish by saying that i always beleived Dillinger was executed and ambushed not taken down by the myth of Hoover and his boy scouts that he resisted and was took down in a fair gunbattle ,Maybe this contributed to the concience of Purvis before he died who knows ?
