this was a great interview - as a Liberal myself I found myself represented by the interviewer but was captivated by Raday's thoughtful responses to the pointed questions. I want to read this book, as I think it will help me be more openminded and accepting, something we Libs think we are but most of the time arent so much.

This made my day. I've read Sophia's book (and Fighting Fire, too) and while reading it I had some of the same whimsically-challenging questions as Caroline. But since I inhabit more of the "Barrett-space" in my own life I especially appreciate Sophia's journey.

It's a gas to see the two of you back together, at least for this interview. Well done and best of luck to both of you. Keep writing, I'll keep reading. -lewis

What an excellent, funny interview! I happened to attend Ms. Raday's reading in Oakland and I bought her book -- so I already knew it was wonderful, but it's fun to see the personal interplay here.
