Rumpus Book ClubWould You Like To Read The Adderall Diaries?
Update: The Adderall Diaries is now available for purchase so we’re ending the lending library program (it’s only fair to the publisher). You can get more information on the book here.
Update: As of August 6 there are 349 people participating in The Adderall Diaries Lending Library. I think I could accommodate up to 400 people at this point, I think, providing everybody is good about forwarding the book in a timely manner.

I’m offering to loan people copies of my forthcoming true-crime memoir, The Adderall Diaries.
The book will be published in September, but if you send an email to adderall@therumpus.net
I might send you an advance copy.
Here’s the hitch, if I mail you a book I’ll also email you the address of the next person to send it to. You have a week to read it, then you have to send your copy to the next address priority mail. Priority mail postage is $4.95. So this is not totally free. The easiest way to do this is by printing out postage at USPS.com.
In your email please include your address and a little bit about yourself. Priority given to people who are verifiably real.

We’ve asked that readers in the UK paypal $10 to cover postage, and that they also mail the book back to the United States.

Great! So its 26 dollars for shipping here and back? And also i presume that it would take more time for the book to get here,so do i have it a week from when it arrives,or when you send it.

I think that’s right. I don’t actually know what they charge you to ship back from Croatia. You have the book for a week from when it arrives.

I had to send 2 e-mails, because i had forgot to include my address, sorry, and will the selected people know in advance they had been chosen, or will it be a surprise in the mail?

Stephen- I loved the book and the lending library concept- what do you think of it now (the concept) at 349 and counting? what made you want to do this?
