The Rumpus is looking for sponsors to help pay Isaac, our sole employee.

We average almost 200,000 page views per month, and growing. There are two (now 3!) options for advertising on The Rumpus.

1. You can purchase an ad that runs on the top right of every page on the site. The ad is a single image, 300 pixels wide and 200 pixels high, that clicks through to the link of your choosing. The space serves as many as 4 different ads, so your ad will be visible at least 1/4 of the time (more if we don’t fill all spots. We’re trying this out at $200 per month or $600 per month to run four ads.

2. Or you can purchase an ad near the top of the single pages, just below the “five most recent posts” listing. We’re averaging more than 40,000 single page views per week in the past two months. We have more leeway with the size of this ad. It can be as large as 300 pixels by 300 pixels. $75 per week. This would be the only ad to run in this space, capturing all 40,000 views.

3. New! For $25 you can purchase ad space on the blog. Your ad will run in the Rumpus blog on the left hand column on the home page. It will go up as a blog post usually in the evening and scroll down the page at the normal blog post speed, which means it will scroll off the page in two days. You supply us with the image and the URL. The title of the post will be “advertisement.” Because it’s a blog post this will also be served to people viewing the site in RSS feeds and people using browsers that don’t allow advertising.

Also, we can help you design your ad if you don’t already have an image. For $50 we will create a 300×200 gif for your product/website. If you’re not happy with the image we’ll do revisions for $15. This is only available for people advertising on The Rumpus.
