I feel sorry for poor beleaguered TV though. It’s always dragged in as a sign of spiritual dessication in amateur poetry.

I always feel like Wernor Herzog in ‘Julian Donkey-Boy’ when I start to critique art (SEE: the watermelon scene where Julian recites his poem). To me, bad poetry is a representation of something that you are not like in person. Whether that be ideals, feelings, experiences etc. You’ll know when you’ve written bad poetry. Maybe you don’t realize it at the time but eventually you’ll understand it like Biff did.
