The Sycamore Review paid someone for a poem. It cost them a quarter and the poem was written on a bar napkin. Sounds like a worthwhile trade.

I think this is a terrific way to get poetry out and recognized, and I think the grad student who’s worried about “branded advertising” needs to be careful or he’ll choke on his own sense of self-importance.
