The Rumpus received a press release for a new book today, along with a kind personal note. Unfortunately, we can’t cover every book that gets released. But since a lot of people who read this site have blogs of their own we thought we would share this press release with you. Feel free to contact the publicist directly.

Hi Stephen,

I came across your website and have a story idea that is appropriate for your readers. We have several options of how we can provide content for your site, too (see below).

TOPIC: Pets bring us joy and companionship. However, as with all living things, there comes a time when we have to say goodbye to our furry friends. Have you ever wondered where your pet goes after it passes from this place? Animal lover and rescuer Susi Pittman, who is often referred to as “Susi of Assisi,” explores this question in her new book, Animals in Heaven? Catholics Want to Know!

Interview/Discussion Ideas:
·         Do all dogs go to heaven? – Is there a special place for beloved pets after they leave this place? What about animals of all types?
·         God’s purpose for the world’s creatures
·         Catholic Stewards of Creation – a website where people can gather to discuss their love for animals and take action to prevent cruelty to animals
·         How to work with God to serve your life’s purpose

Here are some ways we can work with your site:
You can schedule an interview with Pittman.
You can use Pittman as an expert source.
We can provide a Q&A with Pittman that you can use.
We can send you a copy of their book, Animals in Heaven? Catholics Want to Know!, to review on your site.
You can post one of the following on your site:
10 questions you should ask yourself before adopting a pet – October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month
Tips for grieving over the loss of a beloved pet
Traveling by Air with Fido and Fluffy article

Would you like to schedule an interview with Pittman or utilize any of the other items I listed? I’d be happy to send you more information, including a review copy of her book Animals in Heaven? Catholics Want to Know! Please see the press release below for more information.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,

Evangelicals know that in case of rapture, this doghouse will still have a dog on it. Thankfully this group of nice atheists will look after your pets while you are chillin’ with Jesus: http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/

I’m more concerned about other animals making it to heaven: spiders, feas, mosquitos, biting ants, possums, roosters, rats, wild dogs, hyenas, unfriendly predatory cats, sharks, man-eating giant squids…. I just hope Jesus is considerate enough to ban all the noisy/pesky/inconvenient animals from heaven, even as he allows in the few choice pets.

    Well, Babs’s work is done.
