		<description><![CDATA[Funny thing what captures the imagination of some Americans. Some folks just CAN&#039;T let go of the image of a Black man who killed a WHITE woman getting away with it---well IF he did kill her. But it did ruin his life. Anyway, I think it was a revolutionary moment in the long sorrowful history of the violence perpetrated on African American men and women. Last I heard, in the city of Mobile, Alabama, a fellow was publicy lynched and hung in 1980. Maybe you can write a poem about that. Of course there is Emmett Till, a young boy who got tortured and killed for whistling at a white woman. Oh yeah--the guys who killed him (white) were aquitted. Maybe that ending is more satisfying to you....]]></description>
