Rumpus Book Club member and artist extraordinaire Kevin Thomas has reviewed this month’s book club selection, Richard Yates. As usual, he did his review in the form of a comic. Also as usual, it is fantastic. Check out “Horn! ‘Reviews’ Richard Yates” after the jump:

This makes me want to read Richard Yates even though I’ve already read it. Well done.

I found little of interest in RY, but some of the discussions in the book club and other things, like this review (brilliant), have been valuable to me and connected me to a larger group of people in a meaningful way–the exact opposite experience of the characters in RY. I have no questions for Tao Lin about this book, but I have enjoyed talking with book club members and reading their insights and experiences, and, paradoxically, RY, barren wasteland that it is, has been the growing medium.
