Coming Soon: Best Americans

Now is a fitting time to announce the upcoming release of The Best American Comics 2011 (coming out in October), with Comic-Con having just wrapped up this past weekend. This year’s compendium is being edited by Allison Bechdel, who is celebrating the widening versatility and freedom of the genre by featuring graphic novelists and webcomics alike.

And, while we’re on the Best American subject, this fall also brings with it The Best American Science and Nature Writing 2011, edited by Mary Roach. Topics from life preservation to same-sex animal pairings are all part of this year’s scientific research collection.
