The Millions came out with the “Great Second-Half of 2011 Book Preview,” which includes 66 titles and tons of accompanying words describing them (most books are forthcoming, some came out this month).

First on the list is last month’s Rumpus Book Club selection, Once Upon a River by Bonnie Jo Campbell. The list includes Jeffrey Eugenides and Haruki Murakami who both have highly anticipated books coming out in October, so there’s probably going to be some tough decision making this fall as to what to read first. Just warning you now!

This is The Rumpus

The Rumpus.net is an online magazine focused on culture, as opposed to "pop culture." Pop culture can be hard to define and the term means different things to different people. Basically, we're not opposed to things that are popular, but we have no interest in "art" created by marketing executives. The Rumpus is not worried about being the first to break the news. We care about good writing, and we'll publish essays just because the writing is good. And we won't run a well crafted meditation alongside an actor's opinion of the war in Iraq. (more)
