Celebrate the last week of 2011 for cheap, or better yet, free!

Monday 12/26: Check out some insane boxing day deals. Tonight’s holiday disaster-themed Porchlight reading is open for submissions, as always. 7pm at Hemlock Tavern.

Tuesday 12/27: Here’s something you might not do everyday: Free Double Feature Yiddish Musical Screenings. A sketchy, intriguing performance space opens tonight on Haight.

Wednesday 12/28: Psych-folk Hanukkah to celebrate the last two days of the holiday. Free, 10pm. Sala Chandler lights up the third day of Kwanzaa with a performance of Harriet Tubman: The Underground Railroad. Free, 3pm. Bayview Y.

Thursday 12/29: Thursday night poetry at the Reader’s Cafe at Ft. Mason. This week it’s with Amber Tamblyn and Gorge Molina. Free 6:30pm.

Friday 12/30: Take it easy tonight out of respect for tomorrow. Free Beethoven at Herbst Theater from 8-10pm. RSVP required.

Saturday 12/21: Free muni, free caltrain, and free bar hopping transport in Okaland. Happy 2012!

Sunday 1/1: Start off the year with a zillion free books. Or breakfast in bed. Or with a furry friend -it’s the last day to adopt out the windows of Macy’s, but you can adopt all year long if you miss it.
