It seems unjust to me that Lynda Barry would be broke. She’s saved me and many others in countless big and small ways over the years. I’m not rich, but if there were a way to throw some money to her and support her ongoing work (Kickstarter?), I’d love to.

Ohhhh, Lynda! You will never know what an inspiration you’ve been to me. I go back and watch that clip of you on David Letterman talking about mystery meat whenever I need to remember why I want to be an artist. Thank you for a lifetime of reminding me what’s important (as well as my habit of asking my cats if they want me to bockle their heads.)

oh, oh, oh Anne! Thank you so much. That’s such a great intro! I do want to marry Lynda, I do do do. Or realistically/a tad less weird: I really wish she was my neighbor I can say “good morning” to her or something nice as I pass by her on the street and pretend I don’t know who she is and befriend her…sneakily. Or sing “On the Street Where you Live” under her window. I’ll stop now. Sorry Lynda. I now want to rush home and line up all my Lynda books and tell them I read about her today.
