In case you’re curious, I’ve learned today that Les is still at SF General, that his family plans to fly him home once he’s in stable condition, and that the SUV driver was never arrested…
Man, I’ve had so many different reactions from homeless people wanting food. I thought I was the only one who had the experience of a vegetarian homeless guy declining my food.

Sad indeed. But who knows, perhaps he survived. Perhaps the accident ultimately led him to a better life. Sigh.
