I felt uncomfortable and sad, and didn’t know where it was going to take me next–it was fantastic. You revealed yourself to us, a self that is not easy to express; for that I am envious. You made my heart hurt which is exactly what a good essay should do; give the reader an undeniable emotion, whether that be positive or not. You didn’t try to make us feel bad for you, or warn others not to do what you did. You simply told it as it was, and left it at that. You were honest, and real, and for that I thank you. I trust people will appreciate your courage, because the world needs a little less fiction.
