Amazon.com Doesn’t Care about Sandy

“You’d think a company like Amazon would want to do everything it can to help out — for the good PR, if nothing else. Nope.”

Occupy Sandy has started an Amazon wedding registry of supplies for those whose belongings were lost in the Frankenstorm. The list runs around $75,000 and allows people to click and donate items that are shipped to the Occupy Sandy Relief Outpost in Brooklyn. Yet, at the Village Voice, James King takes a stand against Amazon.com’s refusal to waive or reduce shipping fees, a deterrent for people to make donations.
