Nice post. I used to live with a hostess working in one of the most exclusive clubs of Kita-Shinchi (the Ginza equivalent in Osaka). I met her when she started working and saw her becoming one of the most popular hostess of her club. Might not be the case for Mayumi but one of the worst side of this world is that sometimes hostesses start behaving with friends in the same way the would behave with customers. Independently on how much a hostess may be clever and honest the quantity of money in the business can change them in a way they would never go back. I think too much often hostess cannot understand the responsibility they have in the society. Some kind of “education” should be required to do such a sensitive job.

is it disprespectful to observe that japaense persons seem to be crazy? i admire it. but still the image of some guy talking to a girl with her fingers in his mouth.

Possibly wearing a hillary clinton mask. with a cutout for the fingers.

It was an interesting article but I dont agree that the field sounds exciting. I wonder if its because the women are Asian that we feel its somewhat more respectable or highclass. I worked as a shot girl and never once did someone request I put their fingers in my mouth. I just think this is anouther way for married men to have outside flings. I wonder how people would feel about this if the girls were Brazilian. Same concept just in Brazil or Nigeria. I dont think we would be so intrigued.
