I just finished The Autograph Man, which I really enjoyed, even though it felt claustrophobic. I didn’t feel sympathetic for any of the characters, and I felt sort of guilty for those opinions. But I feel O.K. now after reading this piece…..& in fun – writing a memoir = putting one’s “balls in the air” vs writing fiction = juggling “balls in the air”.
