Call for Submissions: On Rape Culture, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence

By

We’re inviting women and non-gender-identifying folk to share your own experience(s) with sexual harassment, assault, domestic violence, as well as your thoughts on what’s been happening in the media about Harvey Weinstein, the Twitter boycott, the whisper networks that keep us safe, etc.

You can share just a few sentences or a few paragraphs (1,000-word maximum). We would love for you to contribute under your name, but will publish your words anonymously if you prefer. You can write from a critical perspective or more personally. You can share prose or poetry or something in between. Artwork is also welcome for consideration. Only submit work that has not been previously published.

Please remember to be mindful of others’ experiences and privacy, of the places of privilege we may (or may not) be coming from, but also please feel that you can speak honestly. We will try to include as many voices as possible, but please note that due to the expected volume of submissions we may not be able to accept all submissions.

Send submissions to [email protected] by EOD Friday, 10/20. Kindly specify whether we may use your name if we decide to publish the piece.
