Colson Whitehead is the author of the novels The Intuitionist, John Henry Days and Apex Hides the Hurt, as well as a collection of essays, The Colossus of New York. His new novel, Sag Harbor, has just been published by Doubleday. Elliott Holt is a graduate of the MFA program at Brooklyn College, where she won the Himan Brown Award for creative writing. Her short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in various places, including the Bellevue Literary Review and online at the Kenyon Review, and she was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is on the editorial staff of One Story.
