Wow. The Middlestein’s is featured in the New York Times Book Review and now Tenth of December has the feature article in the NY Times Magazine. the Rumpus really has its finger on the pulse! Just two quick questions — besides wanting to compliment you on this cool project.

1. From whom are the books purchased/sent? Do the good folks at Rumpus send them out or do they ship from the respective publishers? Amazon isn’t involved, are they?

2. How in the world do you get pre-pub releases? How far in advance do you have them; that is, they must be printed and ready to ship, so I gather you are just shipping brand new stuff, not really pre-pub. Thanks for clarifying.

Just really curious.

I probably have 30 books sitting around yet to be read, but when I opened the Middlesteins, I started reading and couldn’t stop until I was finished the next afternoon- great selection (90% are).

It’s a book I might not have bought.

OMG The Middlesteins is SO GOOD. I got it out of the mailbox about an hour ago and can’t put it down- I’m only online to order pizza so my husband will have supper!!

Thinking about joining the book club. Want to know if there is a way to peek at others comments from past books. It would be worth $25 a month if I could get a book that was really awesome, satisfying, and maybe a little quirky? So tired of looking at books at B and N and nothing appeals to me.
