Dardenne Brothers Interview

Interview Magazine features Belgian filmmaking brothers, Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. The conversation revolves around their latest film, The Kid with a Bike.

“I don’t think we ever make movies that end in a sinister manner. Our characters are always saved. But in this one it’s more obvious that’s true. We knew that at the end, this character had to be saved, and he had to be calmed and appeased. Because the worst-case scenario is not always necessary.”
