    Chris Young is a fixture around Rhode Island’s state house and Providence’s city hall. Rest assured, he’s not kidding. Here’s video of him getting arrested last year:

    Well, if nothing else, Providence mayoral candidate Young made very good use of the prearranged questions. It’s a valuable civic lesson to see so transparently the scripted nature of these televised exchanges. When he says he got into politics to address issues of poverty and inequality in Providence, as they’re both aware, she must then ask him what he “does for fun.” Oh brother. It’s an uncomfortable segue that she handles like a pro – not to mention how she ends the interview. Brava, and bravo.
