For The Nextflix Pile— The Parallax View

The Parallax View, released in 1974, based on the book by Loren Singer, was scripted by Lorenzo Semple Jr. (his daughter just wrote a book about L.A called This One Is Mine).  Mr. Semple also wrote the scripts for Three Days of the Condor and Papillon. After the assassination of a U.S. Senator at a party atop the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, Joe Frady, played by a very young Warren Beatty, (his hairdo should have been listed in the credits as a supporting player) gets the scent of a larger story that involves a multinational company that is running a murder hit squad under the guise of a training institute. …more
