Monday 2/1: Get in on SF SketchFest before it ends! SFSF presents Logo’s Big Gay Sketch Show at Cobb’s. Cast members Stephen Guarino, Jonny McGovern, Kate McKinnon, and Nicol Paone will perform a selection of their favorite sketches from Season 1 and 2. Tickets $20.50, 8pm @ 915 Collumbus Ave.
Tuesday 2/2: Join Holocaust survivor Danny Chanoch’s wild expedition with his reluctant children as he attempts to brave a night in his old Auschwitz barracks at the screening of Moshe Zimerman’s new film, “Pizza in Auschwitz” at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Wednesday 2/3: Catch the end of SF’s first IndieFest Winter Music Festival as Damn Handsome & The Birthday Suits play Thee Parkside. $10 at the door, 21+ 8:30pm @ 1600 17th Street.
Thursday 2/4: Curated by Irene Hernnandez-Feiks, organizer of Chillin’ Productions‘ spectacular happy hour bazaars, the opening of Wonderland at 111 Minna is the culmination of over a decade of work in the local art scene. See the work of over 60 local artists whose work continues to influence the San Francisco art scene as well as each other. 21+, starts at 5pm @ 111 Minna.
Friday 2/5: Stop by SOMArts Cultural Center for the opening of Prints Byte: The Cutting Edge of Print Making. The reception begins at 7pm with an artist talk at 6:30pm. SOMArts is located at 934 Brannan Street.
Saturday 2/6: Venture outside San Francisco’s seven square miles for the opening reception of The Walter Painting & The Puffle Photographs at Oakland’s Cricket Engine gallery. Mark T Wise’s and Joe Wenderoth’s paintings and photographs are about the collision between the written form and the arrest of language both physically constructed and captured mechanically. 3-7pm @ Cricket Engine, 499 Embarcadero, Suite #3, Oakland.
Sunday 2/7: Learn How To Paint a Pin Up with Nancy Peach at Femina Potens gallery. $20 gets you in for an evening of sexy art making from the planning to the execution of your very own pin up masterpiece. 2-5pm @ 2199 Market Street.
