Back in July of 2010, The Rumpus started a poetry version of its book club. Board member Camille Dungy selected Shane Book’s Ceiling of Sticks to start us off and we’ve never looked back. Here’s a rundown of the book club for potential members–what you’ll get and what you would have gotten if you’d been with us from the beginning.
How The Rumpus Poetry Book Club Works: You pay $22 a month ($33 international) and every month you get a book of poetry in the mail that hasn’t been released yet. (You can sign up here.) We’ll discuss the book all month while we read it. You’re invited to a moderated online discussion with the author at the end of the month which we’ll edit and run on The Rumpus as a feature article.
Who We’re Reading Right Now: Currently the book club is reading Carmen Giménez Smith’s Goodbye, Flicker.
