Tuesday 1/3: Free days at the DeYoung, SFMOMA, and Legion of Honor. Check out an SFMOMA original production celebrating the SECA Film award at noon. Free.
Wednesday 1/4: Rebecca Fairvar reads from her newest, Correct Animal, at the Sacred Grounds reading series. Free, 7:30-10pm.
Thursday 1/5: Tourettes Without Regrets, the Bay’s ‘Fight Club for the Arts,’ features beatboxer, drummer, juggler, musician, actor, funny man, and circus performer Broankar Lee. $10, 8:30pm Oakland Metro Opera House.
Friday 1/6: Grass Widow plays a free show in Oakland for January’s Art Murmur. Free, 9pm Uptown Night Club. On the other side of the Bay, musical chameleon The Attracted play with local act Mad River at 50 Mason Social House. Free, 7-10pm.
Saturday 1/7: The one of a kind Vintage Paper Fair features millions of postcards, prints and photographs from yesteryear. 10am-6pm, Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.
Sunday 1/8: Dance Mission theater and Iraq Vets Against the War present The Proud, a production exploring the devastating effects of PTSD and treatment of women in the military. Free, 6pm. Dance Mission Theater.
