Online writing community Figment has recently inaugurated Figment Daily Themes, “a free daily email service through which subscribers receive a thoughtful, compelling writing prompt five days a week.” Occasionally, prompts will come from acclaimed authors such as Curtis Sittenfeld, Aimee Bender, and Nell Freudenberger. Next week’s themes will be crafted by author Lev Grossman (who has engaged in discussion on the Rumpus this week). Daily Themes will run from January 2 through March 30, 2012, and you can sign up here.
