Author Appearance: Anne Lammott and Son Have “Some Assembly Required”

San Francisco-based author Anne Lammott is the prolific novelist and non-fiction writer behind works such as Operating Instructions: A Journal of My Son’s First Year and the indispensable writer’s guide Bird by Bird. 

Her latest collection of autobiographical essays, Some Assembly Required: A Journal of My Son’s First Son, is a frank, poignant account of the trials and experiences she encountered when her son Sam became an unexpected father at age nineteen.

In honor of the release of its new paperback edition, Lammott and her son will be speaking at A Great Good Place for Books in Oakland tonight (4/18) at 7pm. Further details can be found here.
