This month, the Los Angeles Public Library invites you to celebrate Herman Melville’s Moby Dick using your “lens of the modern and equally mythical Southern California state of mind.”
If you’d like to join the celebration, you could participate in one of the 80 events all over Los Angeles, or, for the geographically-challenged readers, you could also read Rumpus contributor William Giraldi’s essay where he discusses Melville’s own love of reading.
