Let’s all take a moment to appreciate that Twitter has realized its true purpose, achieving an all-time high point in social-media history—and, indeed, in human civilization—with one stunning development: Margaret Atwood’s adorable selfies of her and Alice Munro celebrating Munro’s Nobel win.
In a secret lair in #victoria BC Empress Hotel, #Alice Munro and I have a quiet Hooray yesterday. http://t.co/FTLGwIZoXW

In a followup tweet, Atwood told followers that she “passed all T-pal congratulations+goodwill to #AliceMunro,” who responded with thanks and the words “Oh yes. You do That Thing.”

It’s not a selfie! It’s a posed picture that someone else took. I love the pic, but let’s call a selfie a selfie and not obliterate the word through careless usage.
Atwood and Munro would certainly approve keeping word distinctions alive.
Wonderful photo that says so much to me.
Could be a selfie with a timer. So, yes, I bet it is a selfie.
