Monday 12/9: It’s a busy week for The Moth. They kick off this week with the usual StorySLAM at Haymarket, with stories on the theme of “Regrets”. 10 randomly selected attendees will share their five minute true stories on stage without notes. 8 p.m., $8, Haymarket Pub & Brewery.

Wednesday 12/11: The Moth is pitting ten of their winning storytellers against one another in a battle royale for the title of Grand SLAM champion. The night’s theme is “Old Enough to Know Better”. 8 p.m., $17 (buy tickets at the venue’s box office, or pay an extra $9 in fees), Park West.
Thursday 12/12: Author Kelly Luce discusses her book Three Scenarios in Which Hana Sasaki Grows a Tail. Stop by to discuss and grab an autograph! 6:30 p.m., free, City Lit.
Friday 12/13: Chicago publisher Curbside Splendor presents readings from three of The Rumpus’s favorites. Stop by and catch Ben Tanzer, Megan Stielstra, and Samantha Irby reading some of their favorite essays. 6:30 p.m., free, City Lit.
