Nicky Beer is the author of The Octopus Game, winner of the 2016 Colorado Book Award for Poetry, and The Diminishing House, winner of the 2011 Colorado Book Award for Poetry. She is an associate professor at the University of Colorado Denver, where she is an editor for the literary journal Copper Nickel.
