Friday 3/3: Visit Women & Children First for an evening of poetry with Ari Banias, Lara Mimosa Montes, Erika Sanchez, and T Clutch Fleischmann. 7:30 p.m., free.

Sunday 3/5:  As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

The wonderful That’s All She Wrote reading series is closing its doors, but not before hosting a Farewell Show. Readers include Eric May, Rukmini Girish, Turi Ryder, and Jennifer Peepas. Great Lakes Tattoo, 8 p.m., free.

Monday 3/6: Kate Hennessy reads from Dorothy Day: The World Will Be Saved by Beauty: An Intimate Portrait of My Grandmother. Women & Children First, 7 p.m., free.

Tuesday 3/7: Head to City Lit Books to hear Donna Solecka Urbikas read from My Sister’s Mother: A Memoir of War, Exile, and Stalin’s Siberia. 6:30 p.m., free.

Thursday 3/9: Visit Bookends & Beginnings for a poetry reading by David Lazar and Christina Pugh. 6 p.m., free.

City Lit Books hosts an evening of poetry with some of Canada’s most renowned poets: Fred Wah, Daphne Marlatt, and Colin Browne. 6:30 p.m., free.

Join Kelly Jensen and Mikki Kendall for a reading and conversation about Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World. Women & Children First, 7:30 p.m., free.
