Jay Aja
Jay Aja (they / he) identifies as nonbinary, transgender queer, and second-generation-immigrant Guyanese. Soon to hold an MFA in Comics, Jay is fascinated by the confluence point of text and image, how together the two produce more nuanced storytelling. Jay’s work has been supported by the Tin House Summer Writers Workshop and the National Women’s Book Association. He has poetry forthcoming in Foglifter and a short comic to appear in an anthology for the Authentic Voices 2023–2024 cohort of womxn writers.
