Alex Erdekian

Alex Erdekian teaches writing at Brooklyn College, where she earned an MFA in Fiction. She is the previous Editor-in-Chief of The Brooklyn Review and received the 2025 Bonnie Perlsweig Mintz Award for Editing. She’s also a contributor at Condé Nast Traveler magazine, where she was previously on staff. Her travel journalism career has taken her to the surf town Sayulita, Mexico; Florence’s underground street art scene; and Honolulu hotels. Her short story “Wine Idiot” is forthcoming from the Chicago Quarterly Review. She hails from Massachusetts and is at work on a novel and short story collection.
