Annie Sand is an essayist whose work has appeared in venues such as Witness, The Normal School, and The Iowa Review. A native of southeast Ohio, she holds an MFA from the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program and is currently finishing a memoir that explores the legacy of trauma across three generations of her family.
