Casandra López is a California Indian (Cahuilla/Tongva/Luiseño) and Chicana writer who’s received support from CantoMundo, Bread Loaf and Tin House. She’s been selected for residencies with the School of Advanced Research, Storyknife and Hedgebrook Her poetry collection, Brother Bullet, is forthcoming from University of Arizona. She’s a founding editor of As/Us and teaches at Northwest Indian College.

Founded in 2009, The Rumpus is one of the longest running independent online literary and culture magazines.
