Emily Withnall hails from the high mountain desert of northern New Mexico and she currently teaches and writes in Missoula, Montana. Two of her essays are forthcoming this year, in the Kenyon Review and in the anthology Janeland (Cleis Press). She was awarded first place in creative nonfiction for the AWP Writers' Conferences & Centers Award, was named a finalist for the Sustainable Arts Foundation Awards and for the Penelope Niven Award for Creative Nonfiction, and was awarded a Fellowship for the 2017 Summer Fishtrap Writers Workshop.
