Hali Sofala-Jones

Hali Sofala-Jones is a Samoan American writer from Eatonton, GA. Her work appears in or is forthcoming from Main Street Rag, Slipstream, CALYX, The Missouri Review, Blue Mesa Review, and the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series. Her debut collection, Afakasi | Half-Caste (Sundress Publications, 2019), explores mixed-race identity and diaspora. Sofala-Jones holds a PhD in English and teaches literature and creative writing at Middle Georgia State University. She enjoys traveling with her family and watching her daughter play softball. Her guilty pleasures are popcorn and romance novels.
