K.E. Semmel is a writer and translator. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Ontario Review, Lithub, The Writer’s Chronicle, The Southern Review, The Millions, HuffPost, Washington Post, and elsewhere. His translations include novels by, among others, Naja Marie Aidt, Karin Fossum, and Jussi Adler Olsen. His latest translation is Simon Fruelund's novella Civil Twilight (Spuyten Duyvil; '24). The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
